I was so good about doing them and then fell off the wagon, probably like most and sent E-mail’s instead. If more people would just pay attention to this low-tech, so simple way to show respect to others, they would be amazed at the goodwill they would build for their business and their own personal reputation. The key is in handwriting the note, not e-mailing or texting. A phone call is nice, but nothing shows that you took time to show your gratitude like a note in your own hand that comes the old fashioned way--via the Postal Service. Thank you for writing this! I try to find reasons to send a handwritten note i.e. an article in the newspaper, something I saw that reminded me of that person, or just a note to say hello.
