I founded Write Speak Sell to help clients leverage social media to make valuable connections that generate more revenue. I help position and promote a client’s products and services when writing blogs, websites, promotional materials and postings on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media.
Social media marketing
I am prolific blogger and experienced in viral marketing using the major social media networks.
A blog can serve as the centerpiece of a company’s social media strategy. It is “home base,” providing more expansive coverage of a company’s products, services and points of view on important topics. This blog content can be leveraged by populating social media bookmarking sites such as Digg, Reddit and StumbleUpon, and social media communities including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook. and Google+.
It’s important for a company to engage its own employees, who are already on social media, as brand advocates for the company. Please see a presentation I co-authored and presented at several venues entitled “Empowering Employees as Brand Ambassadors.”
Blogging and other article writing
I have written and published more than 250 blog posts on Write Speak Sell and written guest blogs for BloombergBusinessweek, Denise Wakeman’s “Build a Better Blog,” and American Express OPEN Forum, among others. I utilize best practices, including search engine optimization and monitoring my traffic with Google Analytics. My blog is sold through Amazon and my HubSpot Website Grade is 98.

Companies I have worked for
I was a vice president at Cohn & Wolfe, and as a senior director with Citigate Communications, a global marketing communications firm, I managed the U.S. and U.K. public relations programs for Deloitte Consulting. Previously, as senior vice president of marketing at the Bowery Savings Bank, I managed the bank’s advertising, public relations, direct response, market research and sales promotion programs. I also directed the School of Banking, creating and facilitating management development, selling skills, and technical training programs.
As senior vice president at Marsh & McLennan, the world’s largest insurance brokerage firm, I led corporate communications, including advertising, public relations and sales promotion for the company and its 95 offices. I began my career as a business reporter.
