My Personal Thanks to Everyone Who Viewed My LinkedIn Profile!

I know it may be considered impolite to pat your own shoulder, but LinkedIn notified me that I have one of the top 5% most viewed LinkedIn profiles for 2012. Thanks to the wonderful connections and friends I’ve made in the Groups I belong to. If you’re not active on LinkedIn you’re missing out on the opportunities to expand your network, build meaningful relationships and get searched by other professionals in this 200-million member network.

  1. Jeannette –

    Yes, truly well deserved Jeannette.

And from a marketing view point, wasn’t this a great viral campaign by LinkedIn? They sent out emails to 10% of their membership, albeit the most active members. Then a percentage of those recipients spread the word about the benefits of LinkedIn to their communities, some more than others.

    • Thanks, Michael. Yes, a great marketing idea from LinkedIn. I’ve heard from other members who were in the top 10%, too. I think besides the PR, LinkedIn’s goal was to convince other members to become more active so they raised their profile and visitors. Very smart.

  2. Terrific Jeannette. I got one of those also. For the top 1%. Lots of discussions going on in a couple of groups about this.

I love what you have done with the notice by putting it in your public blog. CONGRATULATIONS.

  3. Bravo Jeannette, That is way cool. Congratulations, I can certainly understand why you received it. You’re simply awesome. 🙂

  4. Congrats Jeannette. It was a simple and seems effective tactic by LinkedIn because in the end it appealed to people’s emotion of recognition. I read some posts carrying on about it, but in the end if it achieved what LinkedIn wanted I don’t think they care.
